We all experience stress from time to time – some of us more than others. Reducing our stress levels is vital for happy and healthy life. We know it’s not always easy and, in fact, it requires consistency and dedication to truly red ice stress to its absolute minimum. Today we share four of our favorite tips to reduce stress.
No Stress: 4 Ways to Reduce Stress
1. Give Yourself Some me Time
Spending valuable time with just yourself where you truly focus on taking care of yourself is vital for a stress-free life. A good tip is to have an amazing morning or evening routine where you give yourself a facial, take care of your nails or make yourself an amazing meal and watch your favorite tv show. Our days can be so hectic that we simply feel like we don’t have time for ourselves, but you have to consciously make time for yourself.
Meditation has proven to help so many people in their stress, anxiety or even depression. Meditation is very difficult and uncomfortable if you have never done it before. Try to make it a habit of yours to simple sit and focus on your breathing for 10 minutes a day and, with time, you will start feeling less stressed and calmer.
3. Regular Exercise
Stop exercising simply to lose weight or to get those abs! Exercise is also important for your mind and soul. I know when I go for a run or for a hike I tend to completely forget about all other things that are in my mind and I simply enjoy the moment + it makes me feel good about myself.
4. Smile and laugh MORE
I know this may seem silly but especially in times where you are feeling extra stressed out you might realize that you cannot even remember when the last time was that you truly laughed or smile. And again, like with so many things, we have to consciously make the effort to do so. Smiling and laughing without exception always makes me feel better, happier and simply less stressed.
